Let us decode it for you!

Learning the lingo around autism, anxiety, and ADHD can feel like you’re trying to decode an entirely new language. Terms like "sensory overload," "executive functioning," or "stimming" pop up all the time, and while they’re useful for describing certain experiences, they can be confusing if you’re not familiar with them. It's not just about the medical or diagnostic terms either; even the everyday language can be a bit all over the place, with different people using words in slightly different ways depending on their personal or professional experiences. And, as each of these conditions can look very different from person to person, what you think you understand might not always align with someone else's experience. All of this can make navigating discussions around neurodivergence a little tricky, but it’s also part of the journey of understanding and supporting each other better.
